We aren’t quite falling for the fact that eating oysters equals loving longer, but we do know that we freaking love oysters in every form they come in like good Nola babes. We don’t need much convincing to order oysters, but with so many restaurants offering deals this Saturday August 5th for National Oyster Day, we won’t be able to resist! Treat yo’ self in honor of Louisiana’s favorite shellfish this Saturday.
The World is Your Oyster
Borgne
601 Loyola Avenue, New Orleans
Besh’s Borgne downtown is having a “Bottomless Champagne + Topless Oysters“ special featuring $1 gulf oysters and $10 bottomless bubbles all day. These are a few of our favorite things.. 🎶
Trinity
1117 Decatur Street, New Orleans
One of our favorite sleek French Quarter spots, Trinity, is offering an oysters and cava special all week long (8/1 – 8/5). Only $4 gets you a glass of cava and a choice of their oyster dishes like smoked with deviled eggs, horseradish and Cajun caviar; or raw with lemon, Herbsaint mignonette and radish sprouts.
The Fountain Lounge
130 Roosevelt Way, New Orleans
The Fountain Lounge at The Roosevelt will be serving 12 chargrilled oysters for $12 all day on the 5th, and oyster poboys will be half off during lunch. The Wairau River Sauvignon Blanc will be only $5 per glass with oyster dishes if you are looking for the perfect pairing.
Pascal Manales
1838 Napoleon Avenue, New Orleans
Manale’s may not be doing anything special for National Oyster Day, but in our eyes they are the real MVP, celebrating oysters every day with their happy hour. Oysters are half-price Monday – Friday from 3 – 6 p.m. The whole experience is so New Orleans, it makes our hearts happy. Stand at the oyster bar and chat with the oyster shuckers while they prep them, and sip a sazerac. You’ll leave happy & buzzed 😉
Seaworthy
630 Carondelet Street, New Orleans
The trendy oyster bar at Seaworthy has magnificent cocktails, and almost makes you feel like you’re not in New Orleans. We love our Gulf oysters, but if your taste buds are ready to go on an adventure, their menu offers oysters from all over the country. During Happy Hour, Monday – Friday from 4 – 6 p.m., Gulf oysters are $8 for a half dozen, and you can get 1/2 dozen chef select for $12.
We’re turned on already 😉 Pre White Linen Night oysters it is! Let us know if we left out any local specials in the comments babes.
