My Favorite Houston Happy Hours Right Now

2020 has been a year in which I haven’t gotten the chance to happy hour a whole lot. Thankfully, bars and restaurants have opened back up and many have started offering happy hour menus again!

If you are looking for your next favorite Houston happy hour to unwind after a long day of work, check out some of these amazing spots.

Bar Boheme

307 Fairview St, Houston, TX 77006

This eclectic wine and cocktail bar in Montrose has one of the best happy hours in town because it lasts until 7! No need to rush out of the house or office at 5PM on the dot.

Mon-Fri from 4-7pm: $5 wine by the glass

Reverse Happy Hour Mon-Thurs from 8pm-close: $25 bottle of wine and flatbread

For more of their weekly specials, check out their website.

Bottled Blonde

4901 Washington Ave, Houston, TX 77007

I’ve loved Bottled Blonde ever since I checked them out in Dallas! They opened up in Houston not too long ago and if you want a place with great drinks and amazing food, this is it (their pizza is amazing)!

Mon-Fri from 3-7pm: $6 craft beers, $5 domestic beers, $2 off well cocktails, $2 off specialty cocktails, $7 wine by the glass. Half off pizzas until 6pm!

Eight Row Flint

Eight Row Flint

A Houston Heights happy hour institution! Eight Row Flint is a great bar to spend some time outdoors now that the weather is cooler.

Mon-Fri from 2-6pm: $6.50 Frozen Margaritas, Eight Row Rocks Margaritas, Eight Row Old Fashioned, Eight Row Mule

Fri-Sat from 12-2am: Chips & Salsa $7.75, Eight Row Snack Mix $4.50, Cinnamon Sugar Chips $4.00, Boozy Milkshake $7.00 & Dessert Combo $10.00

Eighteen36

2221 W Alabama St, Houston, TX 77098

I love Eighteen36 because they have a huge patio (much needed these days) and great food. Their service is amazing and it’s a great spot to come for happy hour and stay for dinner.

All-day happy hour every Thursday: $6 house wine (Cabernet, Pinot Grigio), $5 Wells, $6 Moscow Mules, Tom Collins, Margaritas, Old Fashioned and $5 Draft (Rotating).

Hando

518 W 11th St Suite 500, Houston, TX 77008

Hando is some of the best sushi in Houston in my opinion. The counter-style restaurant is cozy but they take social distancing very seriously. Their hand rolls are heavenly, and you won’t be able to stop ordering them!

Relaxing Times from 3-5pm daily: Half price all house cocktails and plenty of appetizers for only $5.

Monkey’s Tail

5802 Fulton St, Houston, TX 77009

This Northside Village bar is so much fun! I’ve been obsessed with Monkey’s Tail since it opened, and I’m #blessed that it’s only 5min away from my house. Their cocktails are delicious, their food is so yummy and they are always playing great music.

Mon-Fri from 1-7pm: $6 Viejitas cocktails and $1 off bottles, cans and wine.

Savoir

1344 Yale St Suite 100, Houston, TX 77008

This chef-driven restaurant is not only delicious, but the restaurant itself is also so gorgeous. Savoir was the first brunch place I went to post-quarantine and I love this place so much. Their happy hour also happens to be one of the best in town.

Tuesday to Friday from 1-5pm and Saturday & Sunday from 3-5pm: $6 cocktails, $6 wines and plenty of happy hour bites.

Hope y’all enjoy my favorite Houston happy hours. Be sure to let me know if I missed any of your favorites so I can keep the list going. As always, please remember to wear a mask when you are out at a restaurant, tip well, social distance and be kind!
