Dog Friendly New Orleans Bars & Restaurants

It’s the most beautiful time of year, and that means everyone is getting outside as much as they can. Our pups want in on the action too! We are sharing our favorite dog friendly places in New Orleans to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather without leaving the pups behind.

Barracuda

Barracuda is at the top of my list as always. They have the best tacos and margs in town, an amazing happy hour and a super cute outdoor garden with tons of seating for friends and pups! Douille loves hanging out and crunching on tortilla chips under the table.

Tchoup Yard

The best part of about Tchoup Yard is that there’s enough space for your pup, and those of all of your friends. Spread out in their expansive yard, and enjoy food from their resident Karibu Kitchen or one of the rotating food trucks.

Sidecar Patio & Oyster Bar

Sidecar is an outdoor patio restaurant and bar connected to The Rusty Nail. Their happy hour is one of the best in town for sampling different varieties of oysters, tropical cocktails and enjoying a nice evening with friends.

The Columns

The Columns is always our go-to when visitors are in town. The historic hotel is an unmistakably classic New Orleans experience with a beautiful front porch overlooking Saint Charles Avenue.

Seafood Sally’s

There’s plenty of outdoor seating at this cute Oak Street spot. Plus, they have some of the best oysters in town, a great selection of natural wines, and a phenomenal happy hour.

The Bulldog

The Bulldog has a Magazine Street and Mid-City location, and a great patio for enjoying beers with your buddies (of all types).

Wrong Iron

Wrong Iron has one of the biggest outdoor spaces in New Orleans, and has a huge selection of beer, wine and cocktails on tap. It’s a popular place for catching all the sports games!

Bayou Beer & Wine Garden

Bayou Beer and Wine garden has been a go-to MidCity spot since I can remember. It’s another well-known place to catch a game, or spend an afternoon with pals and pups.

Cosimo’s

We love popping into this divey spot in the back of the French Quarter on a beautiful day, and so does our Andouille dog. The vibes and the people watching are always on point.

Nola Brewing

Nola Brewing is the oldest craft brewery in New Orleans, and is the perfect place to hang out and sample locally made beers. Plus, their pizza spot Nola Pizza has some of the most delicious pizza in town!

Port Orleans

Port Orleans is another great local brewery on Tchoupitoulas that makes the perfect place to spend an afternoon hanging out with you doggos.

Garden District Pub

If you would prefer to sit inside, Garden District Pub is a great option. Plus, they always have treats ready so there’s no doubt your babies will love it here.

Barrel Proof

Barrel Proof is an LGD spot known for their whiskey selection, but they also have great frozen margs, beers and whatever else your heart desires. Plus, there’s always great food pop-ups, and a nice outdoor area to hang out.

Parasol’s

Parasol’s is one of our favorite neighborhood bars, and spots to grab a frozen Irish coffee! They also have delicious po-boys that you may or may not want to share with your pup.

Let me know if I missed any dog friendly New Orleans spots!
