Whether we are PMSing, having a bad day or binge watching Young & Hungry on Netflix (guilty pleasure), we always get cravings for sweets, especially chocolate. After spending 45min dying at an indoor cycling class, it sucks to have to throw all that hard work away and binge on a Twix bar. π«
We are no strangers to the wonderful uses of frozen bananas, so this week instead of making them into ice cream, we decided to slice them up and dip them in dark chocolate.
Make this tasty treat and indulge in a few guilt-free bites throughout the work-week,
Ingredients
- 5 oz of dark (60% cacao) chocolate chips, melted
- 3 bananas, ripe but firm
- Optional: 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions
Slice the ripe bananas into ΒΌ in thick slices. Place the slices on baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and freeze them until they are firm (about 1 hour).
Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler, or a glass bowl set in a pan of water.
Using a spoon, dip the frozen bananas into the chocolate and place them back onto the parchment paper.
If adding peanut butter, spread the peanut butter onto the frozen banana slices before dipping in chocolate.
Return the chocolate dipped bananas to the freezer, and freeze until the chocolate has hardened. Transfer them to a seal tight container, and freeze them for snacking later!

You’re welcome π
XOXO
